Hayley Owen is an IBD Nurse from Morecambe Bay Trust in the Lake District with 12 years experience in the role. She holds a non medical prescribing qualification and in 2024. Hayley qualified as a sonographer in intestinal ultrasound. To date she is the only nurse in the UK with this qualification. Hayley am currently involved in training some of our gastroenterology colleagues across the UK. Her other area of interest is the management of immune checkpoint inhibitor colitis.
